This month, I’m excited to introduce you to Olsen Farms, a standout farm that exemplifies the principles of regenerative agriculture. Located in the picturesque mountain valley of Northeastern Washington, just north of Colville, Olsen Farms has been a staple of the region since 1995. What makes them unique is their unwavering dedication to growing food that is not only healthy and delicious but also produced in a way that supports environmental sustainability and enhances local economies.

Olsen Farms specializes in over 20 varieties of potatoes, grown in rich, fertile soil using regenerative farming methods that improve soil health year after year. But their commitment to quality doesn't stop at potatoes. They also produce premium beef, pork, and lamb, all raised with the highest standards of animal care and ecological responsibility. Their Angus cattle graze on nutrient-dense grasses, hay, and potatoes that are grown right on the farm, ensuring they’re fed the best possible diet while contributing to the natural cycle of the land.

The farm’s pigs are raised with care, fed locally grown barley from a neighboring farm, creating a true sense of community and sustainability. Meanwhile, their lambs are rotationally grazed through the rolling hills of eastern Washington, ensuring they have access to fresh, green grass for most of the year, leading to healthier, more flavorful meat.
